The Core

Incoming PhD students who want to refresh their knowledge of mathematics should enroll in the Department's optional tutorial course in quantitative methods held during the summer before entering Graduate School. The tutorial and the exam are described below: Math Tutorial Class

ECON 7800 Econometrics I is a required core course, however students may opt to take it either Spring semester of their 1st Year or Spring Semester of their 2nd Year (this is encouraged in order for students to have more time and energy to prepare for Qualifying Exams at the end of 1st Year).
